16.2m commercial 2C landing barge with 6 tonne carrying capacity is available for sale.

Evening Star 1 was first launched in 1999 and upgraded, repowered in 2008. Originally built for the QLD Government and used by the water police before being purchased by the current owner.

The “Landing Barge” has since worked between Cairns, Torres Strait, P.N.G. and throughout the Top-End including the Kimberley’s, Darwin and Broome always with the owner-operator at the helm.

Delivering a unique lay-out including a air-conditioned Salon including three 3 berths and a complete Galley with excellent refrigeration-freezer storage and electric cooking.

Powered by twin Yanmar diesels and carrying 2,700 litres of fuel. There is a well-equipped Coach-house and a step-in engine room with a 9kva Genset and Invertor providing all the electrical power and economical cruising speeds a new owner will require.

This vessel is well suited to an owner-operator couple or a live-aboard crew in remote areas throughout Australia or Asia but particularly suited to the Top-End, Torres Strait and P.N.G., the engineered “mini-keels” fitted allows the Vessel to sit on the bottom anywhere including a concrete boat ramp with the Stern Drives total clearing the bottom once raised.

The owner wishes to retire and will listen to sensible offers. The vessel is located on-the-hard in Darwin ready for work.
