At $149,000 for the 2013 model 11.7 metre catamaran “New Mist”, nothing more can be said but be quick as it will not last long. The vessel must be sold. Designed and built by the well-known Des Grummitt, New Mist is the culmination of 49 years of boat building experience and his 29th boat built. Des has spent the last 40 years cruising and racing various boats, and has represented Australia in several world championships. “New Mist” was launched new in 2013, and has only been cruised by Des and his wife since. She has proven herself to be a safe and fast cruising catamaran which is easy to handle and has proven to be very comfortable over a variety of conditions.The vessel offers many advantages: low maintenance design, a roomy and open plan lay-out, two queen sized forward cabins, and a spacious galley and saloon which opens up to a large cockpit. She is equipped with a Lambourne Mast / Boom, powered by two 4-stroke Honda outboards, and a Raymarine navigational package including autopilot, sounder and plotter. Near new rigging and all sails in very good condition.“New Mist” is ready for the current cruising season, and Des is ready to hand her over to the next lucky owner.
