Swanson 40 Pilothouse Cutter

AU$89,000.00

The Swanson 40 Pilothouse Cutter is well known for its roomy design and its seaworthiness and as such is a popular choice for blue water and coastal cruisers alike. This version has had only two owners with the current owners sailing her since 2001 and completing several offshore trips to destinations including Indonesia, the Soloman Islands and the Louisiades.

Ron Swanson designed this Canoe-Stern Pilothouse model to provide a light and airy internal space featuring a large L shaped galley with gas cooking and built in refrigeration. Forward of the galley is a large saloon with opposite couch which provides seating of to 10 people. Sleeping quarters consist of a forward double cabin, a quarter-berth and a drop down saloon table.

A 60hp Perkins diesel delivers a comfortable cruise speed of 5-6 knots. There is a full complement of navigation equipment including autopilot and radar, plus VHF and HF radios. The rigging is sound and sails consist of main, Jib, Staysail, MPS, Trysail. A tender and outboard are included.

The boat is carries Australian registration, and there are some photos available of the original build process. The owners are ready to sell and move onto other activities and invite inspections.
